AUGUSTA, Ga. - Augusta-Richmond County commissioners want to raise rates and cut some services for Augusta Public Transit.
Commissioners want to eliminate Saturday bus routes, increase fares from $1 to $1.50, increase montly passes from $50 to $55 and eliminate transfers, which would require $1.50 be paid each time a bus is boarded.
A public hearing will be held Dec. 18 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. at May Park Community Center.
