AUGUSTA, Ga. - At the Best Buy in Augusta Thursday, dozens lined up for the Black Friday shopping holiday.

Some were in line as early as 6 a.m. but the store doesn't open until 5 a.m. the next day.

"I wanted a Playstation 3,” said Pauline Brown. She’s been waiting in line since early Thursday morning. “My husband wanted a laptop, desktop, digital camera, mp3 players; it's an easy and cheap Christmas."

A cheap Christmas is what has people camping out over night.

"I did this a couple years before and got there too late and didn't get anything," said Bryan Rutledge.

This year, Rutledge is one of the first in line at the Best Buy.

Christine Hutchinson is waiting in line with hopes of crossing a few things off her Christmas list.

"I got five in the family, nieces and nephews; we end up getting something for someone,” said Hutchinson.

For those waiting in line, it was more than just great deals—it was about making new friends too.

“We're getting to meet a lot of new people and we're having fun sharing stories," said Rutledge.

Although the shoppers spent the day away from all of the Thanksgiving food, several shoppers’ families brought the Turkey, mashed potatoes and dressing to them.
