Sarah Palin's eyeglasses becoming popular sell at Augusta store

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Hundreds of Augustans wanted to get a glance at Alaska Governor Sarah Palin Monday and for the past several months many have been trying to look like her.

Since the Presidential election ended the owner of Lord Eye Center in Augusta says she has gotten dozens of calls from people who want a pair of Palin's famous eyeglasses.

The glasses are by Kawasaki and are known for having very little frame and for being extremely light weight. The cost is about $800.

A manager at the store says they're selling so well that customers have to wait until late in December to receive certain colors.

The store has sold about two dozen pairs.
