My condolences to the family of Chief Hamilton. I also wish a speedy recovery for his friend and to the other driver. I am outraged at the comments made by jbt and scpck. Chief Hamilton didn't get away with anything. He has paid the biggest price for his mistake. I can only hope that the emergency response will act as diligent in their jobs for you if you ever find yourself in need.

FIRST my condolences to the Chief’s family and to the town. THEN, I too want to know why so many emergency vehicles came to the site. The disaster team in a red truck, I don’t know from where caused two school buses to have to pull off the road when it came at a high rate of speed from Wagener toward Perry. Then when I was at the grocery in Wagener I counted at least 8 cars speeding through town, heaven knows what the traffic light showed red or not.But then the big trucks came slowly thru here
