AUGUSTA, Ga. - As many are cleaning up damage caused by storms on Good Friday, the NBC Augusta weather team is keeping an eye on the possibility for a slight chance of severe weather through Tuesday morning.

The good news is that the Storm Prediction Center has removed the entire CSRA from the risk for severe weather.

A cold front will move in from the west Tuesday, providing a slight chance of severe thunderstorms for the entire CSRA from 6 a.m. to around noon, as a broken squall line may develop and move west to east across Georgia-Carolina. The potential impacts of any storms that develop include small hail and gusty winds.

Once the cold front passes through, the threat for severe weather will end, as will the chance of rain.

Overall the threat for severe weather remains quite low.

NBC Augusta will have updates as needed.

Our area has seen quite a few severe storms the past couple of years. March of 2008, Febuary of 2009, and April of 2009 brought tornadoes to our area. Everyone, PLEASE sign up for "Weather Call". It's free and there's no reason not to, especially if you have no weather radio.
