Mom charged with trying to sell baby for new apartment
CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - A West Virginia mother is accused of Rebecca Sue Taylor of Charleston was being held Friday at South A criminal complaint accuses the 19-year-old of offering to sell her son to another woman for $10,000. The woman, identified as Leigh Burr, told Charleston police Taylor later cut the price to $5,000. Taylor was arrested Wednesday. According to the complaint in Kanawha County Magistrate Court, Burr said Taylor told her she had never bonded with her son and needed money for another apartment.
