GROVETOWN, Ga. - There's new information about the mother and son charged with the deadly beating of a next door neighbor.

NBC Augusta 26 News obtained a sworn affidavit of a Columbia County investigator.

According to the document, investigators say an informant told them Rebecca Sears was in a romantic relationship with the husband of the woman she's accused of murdering.

Investigators also say that in an interview Sears revealed that her son Christopher Bowers beat Laverne Parsons to death with a hammer and a baseball bat in her Grovetown home in March, and that her son had blood on his face.

Both Sears and Bowers have pleaded not guilty.

Sears' lawyer says that people should be wary of statements such as these and that the truth will eventually come to light.

Go figure!! when you start sleeping with each other's husbands, someone is going to get jealous and want more. It's just a shame that, she had to lose her life because of it. Lesson learned the hard way. DON'T SHARE YOUR HUSBAND OR WIFE WITH FRIENDS,IF THAT WAS THE CASE!!
