Daytona Beach alcohol ban may be eliminated soon
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (WESH) - Some east Florida beachgoers may soon be able to legally carry a cooler of alcohol onto the beach. A Beach Advisory Council is talking about the possibility of lifting the alcohol ban in Volusia County, home to Daytona Beach. Right now, plenty of people who think it's legal to drink on the beach end up with an expensive ticket. The County Council will still have to vote on the plan before it's final.
