USC athletic administrator resigns
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina athletic administrator Bryan Risner has resigned. Athletic department spokesman Steve Fink says Risner is leaving to pursue other opportunities. Risner joined the athletic department in 2006 and was promoted to associate athletic director for development last year. He was a central figure in South Carolina's seat-licensing efforts for Williams-Brice Stadium, known as the YES program for Yearly Equitable Seating. Under the plan, season-ticket buyers must pay a fee for the right to purchase their seats. The YES program has raised $6.3 million in extra revenue, which was more than the $4 million planned on by the athletic department. (Copyright 2009 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
