Man murdered in Fox Den apartment complex

AUGUSTA, Ga. - A man was shot and killed in the Fox Den Apartments off of Wrightsboro Road, early Saturday morning.

Neighbors say they saw the shooters hiding behind the air conditioners in the victims' back yard.

The shooters went around the side of the house and shot the Miguel Hernandez near this car.

Neighbors say Hernandez still tried to make the 20 feet to his house.

That's where the Richmond County Sheriff’s officers found him. He was lying on the floor with one gun shot wound to his chest.

His neighbor, Zekeythia Freeman, says this murder makes her feel scared to be in her own environment.

“They might be still in the neighbor hood, lurking around looking for their next victim, so it makes me want to stay in the house,” Freeman said.

The Richmond County Sheriffs Office says the murder may be drug related.

They have not released any information on the killers.
