Local missionaries return from Honduras

MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mission accomplished. Missionaries from Stevens Creek Church are back from Honduras.

Despite the country's protesting and riots to keep its own president out of office, the crew of 22 spent the past eight days in Dos Rios helping a small village with things like medical needs.

Pastor of Life Development Dave Willis says they were worried the crew might not make it back in time.

However, they did, right on schedule.

“We're glad to have them home. They were able to accomplish everything they went to do. They were able to do some great humanitarian work in the village and local outreach and bring home to the people there. That's what we were there to do. We're glad to have them back," said Willis.

Willis says the missionaries did get stopped several times by the military on their way to the country’s airport for safety reasons.
