Woman will lead drill sergeants' school

FORT JACKSON, S.C. (AP) - The Army has named a 47-year-old North
Carolina native as the first female commandant of its only drill
sergeants' school.

Army officials say Command Sgt. Maj. Teresa King of Clinton will
take over the school at South Carolina's Fort Jackson in September.

King says she hopes her new job will be an inspiration to other
women in the military.

The Army consolidated all of its schools for drill sergeants at
the service's largest training installation last year.

King has been in the Army for 28 years. She has held a wide
variety of posts in the service, including serving as the top
enlisted adviser to NATO's military commander in Europe.

How demeaning to the American male. Little wonder the US Army has difficulty getting recruits. Fancy getting mixed up in that rubbish.

I have worked for CSM King, and I believe this is exactly what the Army needs. When they say her nick name is Sergeant Major NO SLACK, that describes her to the t. She will demand nothing less that 110%, and if you can't hack it, she WILL make sure that you pack it. GO HEAD ON CSM King. GOD Speed and handle your busniess. I will be checkin up on you....

Mr. Army, what difference does it make? We've had female drill sgt's for decades and the Army's been strong for a long time. The thing hurting the military is the back to back deployments, not who's in charge of drill sergeant school. You must be Navy, get a clue!!
