EVANS, Ga. - NBC Augusta 26 News has learned a Greenbrier High School student died late Monday night.
The Columbia County Coroner’s Office says Scott Gillen was found on the school’s running track.
His father found him there after Scott didn't come home.
The Columbia County Coroner’s office has not released the cause of death. We’re told Scott did suffer from asthma.
Greenbrier High principal Margie Hamilton released a statement about the death. She says grief counselors are available for students.
