Mother concerned about arrest of former teachers

GRANITEVILLE, S.C. - Aiken County Sheriff's deputies tell NBC Augusta 26 News, former middle school teacher Jay Magni, Junior committed a lewd act on a 14-year-old.

They say the incidents happened at the Aiken Movie Theater and at Leavelle-McCampbell Middle School.

Magni worked at the school.

About two weeks ago, another former Leavelle-McCampbell teacher was arrested for an inappropriate relationship with a student that happened 4 years ago.

One mother, who also attended the school, says these incidents worry her.

“It bothered me a lot and made me wonder what is going on and made me wonder has there ever been anything my kids don’t feel comfortable telling me. Is something wrong. Have they been tried?”, Tiki O’Conner said.

Magni taught eighth grade social studies at Leavelle-McCampbell last school year. He left the school at the end of the year.
