WASHINGTON, D.C.- Georgia State Senator Ed Tarver just needs the President's signature to take on a new job.
The full U.S. Senate approved him to become the next U.S. Attorney for Georgia's southern district. They voted on his confirmation Thursday.
Tarver will oversee federal cases in 43 counties.
That means Tarver will have to leave his senate seat which covers most of Richmond County.
