AIKEN, S.C. - Three people including a child were trapped after a car flipped over in Aiken Monday.

Witnesses say the child was pulled out quickly, but it took nearly an hour for Rescue Crews to get the two adults out of the car.

There were two cars involved. The accident happened near the intersection of Rudy Mason Parkway and York Street in Aiken.

An older model SUV was flipped onto its side. Rescue crews used a saw to cut the roof of the car off to pull the victims out.

Witnesses say a tan car switched lanes and hit the black truck sending it flying into the air.

“I hear tires screeching and I look and the tan car, I don't know if it swerved or if it was trying to take the next lane, but when she moved into the lane, she hit the truck and it went up in the air, flipped about twice and landed on the driver's side,” Brittani Perry said.

The victims were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
