AUGUSTA, Ga. - It's an organization traveling thousands of miles across the country, rallying against policies being pushed by the Obama/Pelosi/Reid administration.

The Tea Party Express II made a stop in Augusta Tuesday.

"You take control, you vote, get involved in your precinct. Take your parties back," said Darla Dawlad with the Tea Party Express.

That's the theme of The Tea Party Express II national tour.

The group is visiting 38 cities spreading the importance of the 2010 elections, targeting what it calls the worst offenders in Congress who have voted for more spending, higher taxes and government intervention; all things the organization says the American people don’t want.

"They do not want government-run health care. They want big government out of the lives of the people and to stop the stimulus bills and the bailout," said Vice Chairman of the Tea Party Express Deborah Jones.

Lowell Greenbaum with the Richmond County Democratic Party disagrees, especially when it comes to health care reform bill.

"It's focused on insurance companies and our friends at the Tea Party Express love the insurance companies. That's their support," said Greenbaum.

But the Tea Party Express says its support comes from the American people and it's up to them to take back Congress from Democratic control in 2010.

The tour ends in Orlando on Thursday.

ah, Lowell Greenbaum.. a mental midget incapable of connecting the dots without someone holding his hand. you guys might have interviewed someone with a little more substance.. like Charles Walker. Greenbaum is good at giving out soundbites, however rife with error they may be.
