Columbia County Student Among Those Killed In Virginia Tech Shooting

A Virginia Tech student from Columbia County is one of dozens killed in Monday’s shootings. Columbia County coroner Vernon Collins tells NBC Augusta, 22-year-old Ryan Clark is one of more than 30 people killed.

His family says Clark was about to finish up a triple major at Tech. He graduated from Lakeside High School in Evans. Clark leaves behind his parents Stan and Lettie Clark, Brian his twin brother, and his sister Nadie.

At least 33 people are dead, including the gunman, who took his own life.
