AUGUSTA, Ga. - A Glenn Hills High School graduate is being seen around the country on the big screen.

Quinton Aaron is starring with Sandra Bullock in the movie, "The Blind Side."

NBC Augusta 26 News’ Ashley Campbell was the only local reporter to speak with Quinton on the night of his big premiere.

"I'm nervous a little bit...just taking it all in," said Aaron.

Aaron has a humble response to his starring role.

"I'm actually going to the movies tonight with my family and friends,” said Aaron.

After graduating from Glenn Hills High School in 2003, Aaron moved from Augusta back to his roots, New York.

From there he's gone on to play several roles in theater, television and film.

"I knew getting into this business what it required so I tried my best to do it all - I like to take it all in head on," he said.

In fact, Aaron says he loves the hard work and long hours and doesn't plan on slowing down any time soon.

"I'm gonna just keep doing it to the best of my ability. I've been blessed to make it this far - I have no complaints," said Aaron.

Aaron's shoot to stardom doesn't surprise his Glenn Hills High School chorus teacher, Sherry Puryear.

"He loved to sing, he was one of the kids I could always count on to be there. He came from a classroom full of talent so that was a lot of fun." said Puryear.

Although Aaron isn’t here now, for those who know him on a local level, he has a message.

"I love Augusta; I love Augusta, my school Glen Hills, my church. I’ll be back soon.”

Aaron, you have been given a gift, if you use it right, it will take you far. Do yourself a favor, when you become rich and well known, do yourself a favor, stay away from places like South Augusta, they will eat you alive. You can never go back...
