NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina authorities are
looking for a 1-month-old boy taken from a vehicle parked at a post
office.

The State Law Enforcement Division issued an Amber Alert on Monday evening for Angel Miguel Perez.

The child was last seen about 5 p.m.

The Post and Courier of Charleston reported that North Charleston Police spokesman Spencer Pryor said Angel's mother left the boy in her idling vehicle as she went to drop off mail.

When she returned, the child was gone.

A witness told police a woman left with the child in a gray, four-door compact vehicle with a spoiler.

The 11-pound infant was wearing a blue shirt, pants and hat.

The suspected abductor is a black female in her mid-20s, about 5-foot-1 and 175 pounds, wearing a blue and white striped shirt.

I agree with Pam. Something IS fishy here. Also, what kind of moron leave a child in a running car and an, apparently, unlocked one?

I don't even leave my 6 year old alone in the car when I have to do things like that. Don't people know it is not safe for kids out there anymore? I hope they find him.

This is why you don't leave your children in a car unattended, even for a second! Mine are attached at the hip, they go everywhere I go, regardless of how easy it is to leave them for "just a minute."
