AUGUSTA, Ga. - Many celebrated Thanksgiving a day early.

The Salvation Army held a Thanksgiving luncheon for those who may not otherwise have the chance to get a meal.

They say this year more people are coming into the shelter and the need for food is greater.

They say they've recenlty seen an increase of people needing their assistance for the first time.
