AUGUSTA, Ga. - Richmond County investigators are looking for a killer. Investigators say this woman Anna Barrett stabbed a man to death at the Augusta Super Inn on Gordon Highway.
The Coroner tells 26 News Jimmy Jackson was stabbed to death in the parking lot early this morning. Investigators say Barrett is a prostitute that frequents the area and think robbery was the motive.
“Once he got undress, we believe Barrett took his clothes. Jimmy Jackson followed her out. He was able to catch up to her to try to get is stuff back. And that when he was stabbed,” said Lt. Scott Peebles, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office.
Peebles says robberies by prostitutes are very common, but most those crimes don’t get reported. This is Richmond County's 21st murder of the year.
