Governor Sanford calls health insurance plan a disaster

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford says
federal health insurance proposals would be a disaster for the
state's strained budget.

Sanford said Thursday he's sending a letter to the state's U.S.
House and Senate members to warn them of the problems that could
leave the state putting $1.2 million into greatly expanded Medicaid
programs between 2014 and 2019.

Sanford told his Cabinet after a briefing on the proposals that
money would have to come from other important state programs.

A budget oversight board next week is expected to cut at least
2.6 percent from state spending as revenues fall short of
expectations.

On Wednesday, a House panel voted 6-1 against a Sanford
impeachment resolution filed in the wake of investigations after he
revealed an affair.

The members that voted against impeaching Sanford are all unethical. I wonder what is going to happen when another Governor do the exact same thing as Sanford.

Woohoo, speak of the pot calling the kettle black. Under Sanford, SC government has become an ethical disaster of American democracy. I wonder how quickly they would depose and exile him in Argentina...
