AUGUSTA, Ga. – More arrests have been made in connection to the murder of 16-year-old Brandon Taylor.

Kenneth Anderson, 18, and Treshawn Cummings, 17, are charged with aggravated assault and unlawful street gang activity for their involvement in a shooting incident that sparked Tuesday’s murder.

Another teen was also arrested.

Brandon was killed Tuesday morning. Investigators say when Taylor heard a knock on his bedroom window, he came to the window, and that’s when he was shot.

He was a Buthler High School student.

Brandon Helm, 18, and Darian Postell, 19, have been charged with his murder.

Richmond County investigators say both incidents are gang related and expect more arrests.

Some people have kids while married and end up single due to divorce. Don't blame single mothers, blame the fathers. The mothers always get the short end of the stick.

@ Garfieldcat getting married before you have kids is not the problem; deadbeat fathers that allow mothers to struggle raising boys in this violently influenced society is the issue.. The gov't needs to make fathers be responsible role models in these boys lives are lock them up for neglect. I applaud any mother all single mothers it a very hard job...

I think everyone around these individuals from teachers to parents to acquaintances need to pay more attention and speak up. Each is responsible for their own actions.

It is not the schools or society. Kids learn at home and that is the foundation of what they do and how they turn out. I as a part of society, do not feel responsible for this behavior. Single Mothers are a sole soul source. Marry before you have a houseful of kids and expect society to raise them for you.

It starts in the classroom. If we can capture young minds and show them how to capture their future goals, nothing can come between that ambition.

Most people don't know this, but the RCSO has several deputies assigned to the FBI Gang Task Force, locally here in the Aug. Our tax dollars at work with two "Tax Dollar Paid" Agencies. Why are they not arresting entire gangs if they are aware of the activity? The "Gang Activity" itself is a crime and they may be charged, not only when they murder children... Do your job and leave the offices and make the arrest that you are getting paid to make. Stop waiting for a victim before you act.

It starts with accountability on the parents, kids, and the community. Gangs have been around for a while. I am praying for the family of this teen. I also hope this is a wake up call for our community leaders to do something about this senseless violence.

No, I know this parent. The entire family is one who is devoted, aware & involved. Mom is an excellent example and a teacher of response & positive action to her son. Kids have free agency to do right & wrong.
