New job opportunity for Superintendent Dana Bedden?
AUGUSTA, Ga. - Richmond County Superintendent Dana Bedden may be exploring other job opportunities. Several sources tell us school reps from Irving, Texas, are in town gathering information about Bedden for a job opening. NBC Augusta 26 News was first to tell you about contract negotiations with Bedden and the school board. Bedden's contract ends this summer. While many board members agree Bedden has met his goals, they have not said whether he should get a raise under the current financial crunch. The morale of teacher in Richmond Co. is so low now with all of his rule making and micro-managing...all the while he and his wife are living lavishing and acting like The King and Queen of Augusta when in public! (Saw it for myself!) What we need is co-hesiveness, not division or hierachy for an effective school system! Inappropriate? Alert Us!

Anad how did the Board reward his excellent performance? Left his dangling, not knowing what his future would be with this school Board> No wonder he is exploring other 'opportunities' - Run, run, run Dr Bedden - you deserve better than this - the Board is comprised of micro-managers who are clueless!!
