ATLANTA (AP)- Georgia NAACP President Edward DuBose says the
organization will focus on voter education and outreach ahead of
this year's historic presidential election in the wake of a U.S. Supreme Court ruling on voter identification laws.

DuBose said during a news conference Tuesday he is disappointed
with last month's ruling, which declared laws requiring photo ID at
the polls constitutional.

But he says he accepts the decision and will mobilize chapters of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People around the state to help voters understand the rules.

The NAACP also will partner with community groups and work with
local boards of elections to spread the word.
