X-Files star in rehab for sex addiction

LOS ANGELES (AP)- Maybe David Duchovny is not acting when he
plays that sex-obsessed guy on ``Californication.'' Duchovny has
entered rehab for sex addiction.

His lawyer says Duchovny entered rehab voluntarily, and has issued this statement from Duchovny, saying he asks ``for respect and privacy'' for his wife and children as they ``deal with this situation as a family.''

Showtime airs ``Californication'' and has issued its own statement: "All of us at Showtime wish David and his family the best during this very private time.''

David Duchovny has been married to Tea Leoni for 11 years. They
have two children.
