DILLINGHAM, Alaska - In an interview with NBC's Andrea Mitchell, Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin gave more detailed information on why she is choosing to step down from her position at the end of the month.
Palin told Mitchell that frivolous lawsuits and ethics complaints, along with constant negative media attention is taking time and resources away from the Alaskan people, and since she had decided not to seek reelection in 2010, she could not justify being a "lame duck" governor.
Palin said her main priorities are and will continue to be the people of Alaska and her family.
