Arrest made in Beech Island deadly hit and run

By NBC Augusta Staff

South Carolina Highway Patrol has made an arrest in a deadly hit and run.

Investigators say Christine Bryant turned herself in to the Aiken County Detention Center Friday.

Officers say Bryant was driving the car that hit and killed Noel Bryant last week on Urquhart Drive in Beech Island.

Bryant's arrest comes just a day after South Carolina Highway Patrol released a description of the car that hit Barrett.

Barrett was riding a bike and was hit from behind.
