100-year-old woman to get $54 in unclaimed money

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (AP) - State Treasurer Converse Chellis is
personally delivering a check to someone with unclaimed property.

Chellis says he's taking the check for $54.74 to 100-year-old Hattie Miller. Chellis says Miller might be the oldest person to ever receive unclaimed property in the country.

Chellis will give Miller her check Thursday afternoon at the
Happy Home Adult Day Care Center in Spartanburg.
