Golden Harvest Needs Donations!

By Trent Butler tbutler@nbcaugusta.com

We have an NBC Augusta follow-up, about the area's largest food bank and its efforts to feed struggling families.

Golden Harvest supplies food to 530 agencies in the area,
but is having a hard time keeping up with demand.

Executive Director Mike Firmin says donations from the food industry are down.

If you'd like to help, you can donate online. We've left a link to the Golden Harvest website on nbcaugusta.com

This past year, Golden Harvest distributed more than ten million pounds of food. It also served more than two million meals to more than five hundred thousand people.
