Man stabbed to death in Lexington County

LEXINGTON, S.C. (AP) - Lexington County sheriff's deputies have
arrested a suspect in the stabbing death of another man.

Twenty-four-year-old Humberto Caballero-Padillo died at Lexington Medical Center early Sunday morning after he was stabbed in the abdomen.

Sheriff James Metts says deputies arrested 23-year-old Olvin Noel Banega-Maldonado and charged him with murder and first-degree
burglary.

The State newspaper of Columbia reported Monday that deputies
don't know what sparked a fight involving the men.

The newspaper said Banega-Maldonado is from Honduras and had
been deported from the United States as an illegal alien in August,
2007.
