Soon there might be a new city in Georgia-Carolina.

Voters in Graniteville, Vaucluse and Warrenville vote Tuesday on whether or not to incorporate into a new town.

Folks on both sides of the issue both told NBC Augusta they expect to win.

The dispute seems to come down to property rights versus economic development.

Proponents say the incorporation will help bring in more money to improve infrastructure and attract employers.

Opponents say the incorporation is an infringement on their rights and will raise their taxes.

"We have to get enough area for people to come in and have industry, restaurants, trade things," said Libby Cutright, who is for incorporation. "These people in the area could work the jobs."

"Property rights, freedoms taken with city ordinances, money taken with city taxes," listed Bill Jones, who opposes incorporation. "They'll be in your pocket every time you turn around."

NBC Augusta will have the results on NBC Augusta News at 11.

I am not for this action. People can think of more ways to up our taxes and then slowly take over the rest of the area quietly.
