Immigration probe nets 3 more arrests at SC plant

GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) - Authorities have arrested three more
workers at a Greenville poultry plant and accused them of using
fake documents to break immigration laws.

Victor Cruz-Soto, Daniel Badillo-Baca, and Nain Zarate-Camarero
were each arraigned Thursday. A judge ordered the House of Raeford
Farms workers to stay behind bars because they are in the U.S.
illegally.

The Charlotte Observer reported the men said nothing in
court. They were indicted on immigration and fraud charges earlier
this month.

Seven former plant workers pleaded guilty to identity theft last
week.

House of Raeford has said it is cooperating with the investigation and doesn't knowingly hire people in this country
illegally.
