Aiken woman sentenced for embezzling nearly $300,000 from employer

AIKEN, S.C.- An Aiken woman was sentenced to four years in jail for embezzling almost $300,000 on Wednesday.

Elizabeth Copeland pleaded guilty to four counts of breach of trust.

Last April, she was charged in connection with stealing the money from her former employer Cot Campbell.

Campbell owns Dogwood Stables in Aiken.

A judge also ordered Copeland to pay back the money she stole from Campbell.

Besides the four years in jail, Copeland was also sentenced to five years probation.

I think it is outrageous for someone to steal money from anyone ,ex specially some one good enough to give you a good paying job. the way the economy is right now people need to appreciate hving a job ,because they are hard to find.
