Critical time for SC blood donors
CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) - Many people in South Carolina are busy But officials with the American Red Cross said residents also should put 'donate blood' on their holiday to-do lists. South Carolina's director of donor recruitment Dick Miller said the critical time of year is just around the corner. Miller said the regional supply is at three days, only the minimum safe level. And he said donations will trickle during the Thanksgiving holiday weekend and his agency will likely struggle through the next week. Miller told The Post and Courier of Charleston that residents should remember to donate. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. All Rights Reserved.)
