Governor Mark Sanford visits storm damage in Aiken County

PETTICOAT JUNCTION, S.C. - Governor Mark Sanford visited Beech Island and Petticoat Junction Tuesday morning to thank local volunteers who helped clean up the destruction left behind by an EF-3 tornado Friday night.

Governor Sanford also spoke with several homeowners and small businesses owners to hear first hand how they were affected by the tornado.

NBC Augusta 26 News will have more information tonight at six on whether or not Aiken County will be able to receive state funding.
