NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - A North Augusta man is in jail after a standoff that lasted most of the day.
Investigators tell 26 News it started around 9 this morning. They received a about a man threatening to kill himself and any officer that came to his home.
Officers say when they arrived to the home on Womrath Court, Jeffrey Burlage had barricaded himself inside.
He surrendered around 3:30 p.m. He is charged with threatening a public official.
