A fifth person is in jail tonight after Richmond county deputies caught him trying to break into someone's home.

For the second day in a row, Richmond County investigators with the help of their Crime Suppression team caught the burglar red handed. NBC Augusta was the only station there as deputies arrested Christopher Miller.

Investigators say Miller broke into a home last night while a14-year old was inside. Then, this afternoon, they caught him trying to break into another home less than a mile away on Walton Way. The owner was home at the time, and called police.

Miller is the fifth person arrested as part of this investigation.
Investigators are still trying to link those arrested to other break-ins.
Yesterday, deputies arrested Quentin Fielding for breaking into a home on Hillcrest Avenue.

The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office tells NBC Augusta he could be linked to burglaries in the area dating back to 2004. Three others were also charged two weeks ago for break-ins on the Hill.

Since mid March, there have been 13 burglaries in that part of Augusta.
