Richmond County deputies arrested former Butler High School band director Anthony Shelton Friday afternoon.

Shelton faces several charges including child molestation.

He's accused of having sex with two teenage girls and making inappropriate comments to several other students.

Shelton resigned from his position at the school in March following allegations of misconduct that were not related to this sex scandal.

Investigators tell NBC Augusta they questioned several students and Shelton about his behavior before arresting him.

If Mr Shelton was sending for notes for the young lady to be excused from class, where are the notes and where are the teachers who recieved them?

It seems that there is a lot of additional information about this matter that is not being exposed. These young ladies are all friends and one of them was put out of the band by Mr. Shelton. Another one of these young ladies was recently suspended from school because she was late for Mr. Sheltons class and when she returned to school she started making allegations. Word on the street is that they wanted him gone some they could all be in the band next year
