Update: Suspect Arrested In Aiken County Deadly Hit And Run

NBC Augusta has learned investigators have made an arrest in a deadly hit and run in Aiken County.

Officers arrested Ginger Carpenter and charged her with leaving the scene of an accident involving a death.

Investigators say Carpenter was driving a 1997 Green Ford Expedition that hit two motorcycles early Thursday morning.

James Cohrs was killed. The other victim, Michael Yount, was hurt, but has been released from the hospital.

The investigation is still underway.

Carpenter has been released on a $25,000 bond.
