Georgia and South Carolina set 2008 tax-free shopping days

By NBCAugusta Producers

Shoppers in Georgia and South Carolina will soon get some relief at stores as both states prepare for their 2008 tax-free holiday.

Georgia's tax-free shopping days are July 31-August 3.

South Carolina's tax-free shopping days are August 1-August 3.

During these days, customers will not have to pay taxes on items like clothing, school supplies, and linen.

I work in the schools in SC and there are many special needs children who are adult size that wear diapers. I guess that is how they got that on the list. They have to send a supply of them to the school. Just like school supplies.

I notice S.C. has adult diapers listed. I wonder how many adults, who wear diapers, are going to school?
