By Steve Kuzj skuzj@nbcaugusta.com

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. - A police chase that spanned two counties landed one woman in jail Friday night.

The incident happened at the Walmart in North Augusta.

Investigators say Claudia Quillian of Augusta was pulled over for shoplifting at Walmart.

Instead of getting out of the car, Quillian tried to run one of the deputies over with her vehicle.

She then led North Augusta Public Safety on a chase that ended at the Augusta Exchange in Richmond County.

Officers say they were able to catch her with the help of Richmond County deputies.

According to investigators, Quillian will face several charges including a felony charge for attempting to kill a police officer.
