AUGUSTA, Ga. - A cold front brought heavy rain to some parts of our area Sunday afternoon and evening.
While more showers, and even a few thunderstorms, are in the forecast for Monday, Sunday's rainfall totals will be hard to beat.
The bulk of the rain fell in northern Richmond County, southern Columbia County, southern Edgefield County, and extreme northwestern Aiken County. Parts of Warren, Lincoln, and McDuffie counties also got heavy amounts of rain, according to Doppler Radar estimates.
Augusta's Bush Field, the official weather reporting station for Augusta, only picked up about four-tenths of an inch of rain.
