It's slated to open in just over a month. And so far the J.B. White's building in downtown Augusta has several people lining up to move in.

The developer says six businesses have signed on to lease space there. And they have contracts for 12 condos.

The newly renovated building will have a total of 51 condos. And developers say it will be a catalyst for downtown growth.

"I truly see it being what it was back in the day where people are walking the streets, it looks like New York, it is alive," said developer Sherwin Loudermilk.

There is no word on when the third and fourth floors of the White's building will open.

Condos in the complex range in price from $99,000 to $200,000.
