Former South Carolina Coach Will Be Honored By State Hall Of Fame

COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP)- Former South Carolina basketball coach Dave Odom will be honored by the South Carolina Athletic Hall of Fame.

Odom retired this season after seven years with the Gamecocks.

He'll be given a Lifetime Achievement Award at next week's induction ceremonies.

The 65-year-old Odom won more than 400 games in his head coaching career with East Carolina, Wake Forest and South Carolina.

He led the Gamecocks to one NCAA tournament appearance and NIT
titles in 2005 and 2006.
