Make that 11 wins of 14 to start the second half for the first place 'Jackets who continue to get great pitching and timely hitting. On the mound All-Star Darryl Maday turned in another solid performance... this time with 7 strikeouts through 6 iscoreless innings to record his 7th win of the season.

Pitching... timely hitting... and defense wins ballgames. Maday got a defensive gem from Charlie Culberson at shortstop... and timely hitting by Angel villalona and Thomas Neal, each of whom were 2-4 and drove in a run as the Greenjackets win 5-0 against the RiverDogs.
