Barnwell football player dies after apparent heatstroke

Some sad news to report out of Barnwell High School as offensive lineman James Wooden passed away early Sunday morning.

Wooden, a 6 foot 5, 340 pound offensive lineman, collapsed after practice last week. The cause of death has yet to be determined, but it is believed Wooden suffered a heat stroke.

He was a junior at Barnwell High School.
