BARNWELL, S.C. - James Wooden was more than just an offensive lineman. He was a teammate and a friend. On Sunday Wooden passed away from complications following a heat stroke. On Friday his Barnwell teammates took the field for the first time without him in Blackville.

It was an emotional scene as everywhere you looked you saw tributes to the young man they called "Big James"

In the end the Warhorses didn't have enough, as Blackville, lead by a huge game on the ground from Joe Thomas moved to 2 and oh on the season getting the 21 to 7 victory.
