The Sporting News has tabbed USC Aiken as the top Division II basketball team in the nation. That speaks volumes about the Pacers program that Vince Alexander has developed in Aiken, especially since arch rival Augusta State played in the national championship game in March. Dip Metresses Jaguars are picked #5 in the preseason countdown. ASU is led by senior All-Ameircan center Garrett Siler from Richmond Academy who led the nation iin field goal shooting percentage last season. The defending Peach Belt champion Pacers are bouyed by All-American forward Chris Commons.
